Linyi City, is located in the southeast of Shandong Province with its north to Mount Tai and east to Yellow Sea. It covers
17,200 square kilometers and has a total population of 10,810,000. Both its population and area rank the first in Shandong Pr
ince. Recently, Linyi has won many honorary titles such as “National Civilized City”, “China Tourist City” and “National Gard
in China. It is also named as “China Calligraphy City” and “China Capital City of Logistics”

With a long history of more than 2500 years and profound cultural heritage, Linyi City is the birth place of historical celebrities like famed calligrapher Wang Xizhi and military strategist Zhuge Liang. There are many famous tourist attractions in Linyi, among which Mount Meng, the second highest mountain in Shandong Province, is hailed as “a natural oxygen bar” or “Mount of Longevity”. The “Mother river”-Yi River, 574 kilometers long, flows through the city with the drainage area of 17,325 square.

LINYI UNIVERSITY

Linyi University, founded in 1941, is a comprehensive university directly under Shandong Province. At present, the University has 24 schools, 5 university-level scientific research institutions, 5 teaching-supporting institutions and 5 directly affiliated institutions. It offers 95 undergraduate programs (76 enrollment programs), covering 11 disciplines. There are more than 44,000 full time students and over 2,000 full-time teachers. At present, it has 5 first-level discipline authorized for master’s degree, and categories authorized for master’s degree. It is one of the famous applied talents training schools in Shandong Province and of the key universities under the «integration of industry and education» Project of the National Development and Reform Commission.

Linyi university carries out the strategy of Open Schooling to optimize the open educational pattern. It has established interschool cooperation with 85 universities from South Korea, Spain, Russia, the United States, France, etc, and developed friend with 3 universities from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. Linyi University has cooperated to cultivate postgraduates with universties from South Korea, Malaysia, Cuba and other countries, and built with Guinea Conakry University a Confucius Institute. Application Conditions

1. Students who are non-Chinese nationals, friendly to China, in good physical and mental health, have no criminal record.
2. International students applying for undergraduate programs are required to provide official high school diplomas, transcripts and corresponding Chinese/English translations.
3. International students applying for graduate programs are required to provide official bachelor diplomas, transcripts and corresponding Chinese/English translations.
4. Age between 18 and 25 for undergraduates；Age under 35 for postgraduates；Age between 18 and 50 for Chinese language students.
